This is the last segment of our IRIA ceremony in Ogu where the young girls will dance-out as they danced in before.
You can now be given out for marriage and will no longer be virgin according to our tradition.

This event is always done at the last day of the year been 31st.

Rt. Hon. Ikunyi Owaji Ibani Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly has voluntarily stepped aside for personal reasons. He remains a member of the New Rivers Vision and an ally of the Peoples Governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON.

Hon. Dabotorudima Adams from Okrika Constituency has been unanimously elected Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The latest girls in town whom exhibited the beauty of our tradition, (IRIA) visited the CTC Chairman of Ogu-Bolo Hon. Isaac Ibiberebupakabo, they came to thank the Chairman for encouraging them as they participate in the IRIA Ceremony this season and pray God to bless and direct him to keep on doing great jobs in the L.G.A.

When a girl grows up to Age, she should go through this process call IRIA before she will get married to a man.

Eight (8) girls has shown how beautiful they are by keeping their virginity and has won prizes by Chiefs, groups and persons for participating.

 LATE PA. NKEMJIKA OLOYEBAKATEIN (Aka Young) who died on the 15th Jan, 2013 at the Age of 78 years.

His Late body will be buried on Sat. 12th Dec, 2015 in OGU TOWN​.May his gentle soul R.I.P.
