In a precarious situation humanity has find himself, it's only imperative for people of goodwill to rise to the occasion. As the world wake up to observe a war like imposed pandemic ravaging human race, rendering people helpless, some bed ridden, yet some in abject poverty-stricken.
In a manner to curb the spread of the deadly disease, the Government helpless as it were, imposed a sit at home amidst other measures introduced by health organisations like World Health Organisation and agencies like National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
It was this starvation orchestrated by the Corona virus, Covid-19 that men and women of goodwill are up for any measure that can bring sucore to their people.
Against this backdrop, the wife of the Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District in the Nigeria's Senate, upper legislative chambers, Princess Asime G.T. Sekibo, put smiles on the faces of her people in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Manned by the Executive Vice Chairman of the Council, in company of others, various food items went into the waiting hands of the masses. Addressing recipients, Barr. Mrs. Christy Tamunoberetonari, who doubles as the Chairman of the Taskforce on Corona virus in the LGA, said the gesture was born out of glowing heart of our mother, and called on the people to adhere strictly to the stay at home directive, stressing that, as humans, we must be alive to face a better tomorrow, hence the need for washing of your hands regularly, using of alcohol base sanitizers, keeping social distance and staying at home to mitigate the spreading of the killer pandemic that has posed itself as a war on humanity.
