In a significant step towards strengthening governance in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman, Engr. Ishmael Oforibika MNSE, today commissioned the newly completed and fully equipped Legislative Assembly Complex.  


The project was officially commissioned by the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo, who served as the Special Guest of Honour.  


During the ceremony, Engr. Ishmael reiterated his dedication to replicating the people-centered governance model of the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS. “We will continue to domesticate the good works of our Governor here in Ogu/Bolo. My major inspiration is drawn from his giant strides, and I remain committed to walking and working with the people to develop our LGA,” the Chairman declared.  


The Honourable Commissioner for Urban Development and Physical Planning, Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi, who is also the leader of the Simplified Movement, delivered a goodwill message, commending the Council Chairman for his impressive performance and aligning with the vision of Governor Siminalayi Fubara. He noted that the Council Chairman has made the Simplified political family proud through his developmental strides.  


Also speaking at the event, the first Chairman of Ogu/Bolo LGA, Hon. Gilbert Enos, praised Engr. Ishmael for his visionary leadership and exceptional accomplishments within his first 100 days in office.  



Cllr. Tamunosiki Tende, Leader of the Legislative Assembly, expressed gratitude for the new Legislative Assembly Complex, describing it as a landmark achievement. He commended the Chairman for addressing critical needs across all sectors of the Local Government.  


In his address, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo, lauded the quality of the project and assured the people of Ogu/Bolo State Constituency of his commitment to ensuring effective representation.  





The event was attended by dignitaries, community leaders, youth representatives, and women groups, all of whom celebrated the developmental strides of Engr. Ishmael Oforibika MNSE, which continues to inspire hope for a brighter future in Ogu/Bolo.
