The
Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Isaac
Ibiberebupakabo has reiterated the need for all companies and
individuals doing business within its territory to join hands and move
the local government to greater heights through internally generated
revenue.
Isaac
Ibiberebupakabo made the assertion when executive and members of
Ikpokiri-Ama community Speed Boat Owners of Nigeria paid him a courtesy
call in his office at Ogu.
The
Ogu/Bolo local government boss said the collection of revenue from
companies operating within the area was not to witch-hunt any company or
individual, but to set up a legacy generated revenue to boost the
council’s revenue base, in view of the dwindling economy of the nation.
He
said it was regrettable that the local government had no proper revenue
source to argument the federal allocation, but assured to set in motion
a plan for other chairmen to follow and make the council vibrant.
“Pay
revenue to attract government projects as such revenues paid could be
used as revolving loan to assist most of you” he said and appealed to
them not to see the move as a ploy to increase their suffering, but
regard it as a revenue platform for the council against tomorrow.

enjoined them to comply with the taskforce to enable the local
government grow, and announced reductions of N5,000 sticker to N2,500
annually and daily tickets from N100 to N50, while calling on any
aggrieved persons to lay their complaints to the council. In their
separate speeches, Amiso Igbikimabiebo and Philemon Daju Atammo thanked
the chairman and promised to comply with his directive.
