CTC Chairman Tasks Members On Service.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Titus Wakama, has enjoined the caretaker committee members of the council to see their appointments as a call to duty and not to enrich themselves.
Wakama who made the call while swearing-in the members at the council in Ogu said they should regard themselves lucky for the appointment, hence hands should be on deck to move the local government forward.
The new Caretaker Committee boss of Ogu/Bolo LGA stressed that he alone cannot run the council, but with their collective ideas, support and co-operation, he would make a difference and charged them to maintain their peaceful disposition.
While sacking all former political appointees and committees of the council, he assured the workers of regular payment of salaries and allowances as far as they reciprocate by coming to work regularly.      The Ogu/Bolo CTC boss announced the appointment of Mr. Steve Ibasimama Davids as the Secretary to the council and Comrade Precious Sydney Wakama as Chief of Staff.
He also assigned portfolios to the members of the Caretaker Committee which include .Mrs. Charity Ibiateli Cookey, Women Affairs, Gloria Ikalama, Agric; Longinus Gad, Culture Tourism and Special Duties; Hon. Mike Omubo, Works and Transport Hon. Lamidi Tende, Education and Hon. Iweriso Iruapu, Iweriso-Health.     .
Responding on behalf of the CTC members, Hon. Mike Omubo thanked the Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike and the party for finding them worthy to serve the people and assured the chairman of their unalloyed support and cooperation.
In their separate speeches, the PDP Chairman of Ogu/Bolo LGA, Hon. Arnold Davids and the Chief Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Bapakaye Bipi, who was represented by a stalwart of the party, Alabo Rev. Francis Ebenezer Onye urged the CTC members to co-operate with their chairman to take the LGA to another level by putting in their best. They enjoined the chairman to use his position    to restore peace between Wakama and Kporghor communities.
In her vote of thanks, the Head, Local Government Administration, Comrade (Mrs) Gladys Nweye thanked Governor Nyesom Wike and others for taking the development of the LGA as their priority.
