“THE STORY HAS CHANGED” – RT. REV’D. ENOCH ATUBOYEDIA DECLARES RESURRECTION POWER IN RIVERS STATE
A powerful and hope-filled Easter sermon delivered by Rt. Rev’d. Enoch Atuboyedia JP at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Rainbow Town, Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt has stirred revival and renewed faith among attendees.
Drawing from the biblical account of Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the risen Christ, Bishop Atuboyedia proclaimed that her personal grief was transformed into joy, symbolizing a universal message of renewal and restoration. “There is a reason to cry,” he said, “but there is a greater reason to rejoice—because He is risen!”
The Bishop emphasized that just as Mary Magdalene’s story changed, so too can the stories of individuals and communities. He boldly declared: “Because He is risen, Rivers State shall be restored.”
He tied the resurrection’s power to spiritual and societal transformation, speaking prophetically over Rivers State and calling for the restoration of all that had been lost. He referenced the testimony of a former occultist who acknowledged the unmatched authority of Jesus, even within the kingdom of darkness.
Bishop Atuboyedia described a vivid image of Christ’s resurrection, portraying a cosmic battle in which all earthly and spiritual efforts failed to hold Him down—until heaven responded with thunder, lightning, and triumph.
The message ended with a powerful call to faith and restoration, as the Bishop prayed for healing, revival, and divine favour. “May the Lord bring you back from the land of the dead,” he declared, as the congregation responded with a resounding Amen.
The Episcopal Easter service also featured significant church milestones, including the dedication of the vicarage, the confirmation of new communicants, and the induction into the Women’s Guild and Christian Men’s Fellowship.
The atmosphere was one of spiritual upliftment, with many describing it as a defining moment for their personal faith and for the broader community.
