IX has expressed
gratitude to the Rivers
State Governor, Chief
Nyesom Wike for
elevating the
traditional chieftaincy
stool of Ogu Kingdom to
a first class
traditional institution
as well as recognizing
him as the Amanyanabo of
Ogu Kingdom.
King Nimenibo Loko, IX,
who made this
commendation while
speaking with newsmen in
his Palace at Ogu said
the people of the
Community are very happy
and grateful over the
recognition, saying that
Governor Wike is indeed
a son and trustworthy
Governor who has the
interest of people at
heart.
The Amanyanabo of Ogu
who described Governor
Wike as a man of the
people assured that the
people of Ogu Kingdom
and Ogu/Bolo Local
Government Area would
forever remain grateful
for his love and care,
pointing out that he has
done a good job for the
people.
The Ogu Monarch assured
the Governor of
sustaining the existing
peace in the area to
further move the
community forward and
help the State
Government in its
developmental efforts as
no community thrives
without peace, and
pledged the unalloyed
support and total
cooperation of the
entire people of Ogu/Bolo
to his administration.

developmental strives of
Governor Wike to that of
the first military
administrator of old
Rivers State, King
Alfred Diete-Spiff, also
lauded the Governor for
reconstructing
Government Secondary
School, Ogu that was
demolished by the former
administration, praying
God to bless and
strengthen him to
further move the State
forward.
Meanwhile, the State
Governor, Chief Nyesom
Wike has charged the
newly elevated monarch
of Ogu Kingdom His Royal
Majesty, King Nicholas
Dickson Ibiebele
Nimenibo Loko IX to
improve the peace, unity
and cohesion of the
people of the kingdom.
Governor Wike, who spoke
through Commissioner for
Local Government and
Chieftaincy Affairs,
Chief John Basia gave
the charge while
presenting official
certificate of first
class traditional stool
to the Ogu monarch at
his office said in
exercising the powers
conferred on him as the
Governor of Rivers
State, he has now
recognized the stool of
the Amanyanabo of Ogu as
a first class stool and
the incumbent hereby
recognized as His Royal
Majesty, King Nicholas
Dickson Ibiebele
Nimenibo Loko the IX.
He wished the
traditional ruler of Ogu
Kingdom a fruitful reign
and expressed optimism
that his reign would
bring development and
progress to Ogu
community and the State
in general.
Also speaking, the
Senator representing
Rivers East Senatorial
District, Senator George
Thompson Sekibo, who is
also a member of the Ogu
Divisional Council of
Chiefs, thanked the
Governor for the honour
done to both the monarch
and the people of Ogu
Amanyanabo of Ogu to a
first class stool.
Senator Sekibo assured
of the continued support
of Ogu people and indeed
all Okrikans to his
administration as he
embarks on his
aggressive developmental
projects across the
state.
